2. Collection, storage and use of personal data

Personal data include any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, e.g. your given name(s) and last name, telephone number, address, and any other essential data which may be requested when you register or create a user account. 

2.1. Customer account

 For every customer who registers at our website using the Create Account option, a customer account is created which enables direct and password-protected access to the standard user data saved by us. You may view here your orders which have already been delivered, are being processed or have been recently sent, and manage your personal data and newsletter settings.

2.1.1 How you can create a customer account

To register a customer account, you need to provide the following information (required fields): 

  • e-mail address,
  • password,
  • first name,
  • last name,
  • sex,
  • consent to the processing of personal data.

The delivery address should only be given if you submit an order. If you wish to have the order delivered, you need to provide your first name and last name, postal address, e-mail address and a payment reference. Your e-mail address is used to confirm that we have received and/or sent your order or to communicate any other information as necessary. Your e-mail address is used for identification purposes (as your login ID) when you log on to your customer account.

2.1.2. Use of customer account

If you do not log off from your customer account, you will automatically remain logged in. This option makes it possible to use some of our services (e.g. “A Wish List”) without the need to log in to your customer account again. For safety reasons, it is advisable to re-enter your password, e.g. when you wish to change your personal data or submit an order.

2.2 Collection, storage and use of user personal data

User data are stored, saved and processed when using our shopping services, including any subsequent complaints, for the purpose of providing our services (e.g. “My Preferences”), technical administration, marketing (for more information, see section 2.3) and for preventing criminal offences and frauds. Your personal data is transferred to third parties only when it is allowed by law, including for the purpose of delivering an agreement or accounting for services delivered, marketing purposes, or if you have agreed to the trnsfer of such data. For example, to process submitted orders, we use outsourced service providers (e.g. carriers, logistics companies, banks) which receive data required for delivering orders. The data transferred to such service providers may be only used for the purposes of performing their tasks.

In addition to data processing for the purpose of shopping services provided via Inventia PT’s website, user data are also used to optimize the user’s purchases on an ongoing basis to ensure a customer-friendly and customized range of products and services, to be able to contact the user about his/her orders, specific products and marketing campaigns, and to recommend products or services which the user might find interesting. For this purpose, the data obtained by us, e.g. e-mail received and/or read receipts, information about the user’s device, Internet connection, operating system and platform, date and time when our website was visited, products viewed, and information obtained by us from the user (including information which is generated or sent automatically). Additionally, we also use order history.

2.3.2 E-mails with recommended products 

If you buy products via Inventia PT’s website, you will regularly receive e-mails with recommended products, which are sent whether or not you have subscribed to our newsletter. This is to provide you with information about our products which you might find interesting based on your last purchases.

If you wish to opt-out of receiving information about recommended products or advertising information in general, you may withdraw your consent at any time and at no charge, except for the costs of transferring information according to the standard fee rate. 2.3.3 Contests, market research and opinion polling

During contests, user data are used to send information about prizes and to promote our products and services. Detailed information can be found in the terms and conditions for specific contests.

Furthermore, user data are used for the purpose of market research and opinion polling. Data collected in the course of market research and opinion polling are not used for advertising purposes. Detailed guidelines (most specifically related to user data analysis) can be found in the information relating to individual surveys or at the site where the user enters the data. What are cookies?

What data are stored in cookies

Only pseudonymised data are stored in cookies used by Inventia PT. When cookies are activated, an identification number is assigned to them without assigning user personal data to the identification number. First name and last name, IP address or similar user data which enable direct assignment of a cookie to the user are not saved in cookies. Using the cookie technology, we receive only pseudonymised information about which pages of our store were visited, which products were browsed, etc.

How you can block cookies

The web browser has settings which enable the storage of  cookies only if you agree to it. As a result, you can block cookies being stored in the future. To accept Inventia PT cookies and to block any third-party cookies, please select the “Block Third-Party Cookies” option in the browser.

Usually, the help function in the menu bar of the browser will give information about how to reject new cookies and how to deactivate the old ones.

4. Log files

Whenever you visit any of Inventia PT’s websites, your web browser shares data about your actions, which are saved in log files, so-called server log files. The resulting data records contain the date and time of download, name of the website visited, IP address, URL of the reference website (address of the website from which you were redirected), quantity of data transferred and information about your browser version.

5. Web analysis

To optimize and improve our services on an ongoing basis, we use so-called tracking technologies. For this purpose, we make use of Google Analytics services.

5.1 Google Analytics

This website makes use of a web analytics tool, Google (Universal) Analytics, operated by Google Inc. (www.google.pl). Google (Universal) Analytics employs methods that enable the analysis of your website use, e.g. cookies, which are text files stored on your computer. The information generated by cookies about your website use is usually transferred to Google’s servers in the USA and saved there. If IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address is shortened by Google before it is transferred to any other site located in an EU Member State or any other State party to the agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will your full IP address be transferred to Google’s servers in the USA and shortened there. The anonymized IP address sent by your web browser for the purpose of Google Analytics services is not combined with any other Google data. 6. Retargeting and collection of data by third parties for banner advertising

Retargeting and banner advertising service are provided by third parties which use cookies on our website. These are:

Additionally, on an ongoing basis, we implement technical and organizational measures to secure our websites and other systems against the loss, destruction, access, alteration and distribution of user data due to any unauthorized use.
